Eye-catching earrings in lustrous mother of pearl, to charm & inspire.

Kimura Earrings & Pendants feature long lustrous Mother of Pearl tablets, like captured Moonbeams, laser- etched with illustrations, and set in recycled Sterling Silver.

This pair is etched with serpents, symbolising new beginnings, and the shedding of old ways.

*Please note ; in general this piece is hand-made to order. For this, please allow up to 2 weeks for it to be ship-ready in Sterling Silver, & up to 4 weeks in Gold Vermeil. Shipping times will fluctuate, so feel free to contact me for a more specific e.t.a. when/before you place your order.

However I often have some pieces fully made & ready to ship - this will be marked as "ready to ship" in the options listed.

Mother of pearl is the lustrous iridescent lining, Nacre, found in many ocean shells, specifically the Pinctada Maxima, or Pacific Silver-lipped Oyster; literally the mother of famed South Sea Pearls.

Nacre has long been associated with the moon due its alluring luminous lustre, and because the moon governs the tides that wash these beautiful shells up on beaches around the world. Both are thought to be imbued with divine feminine energy, and prized as such. The wearing of Mother of pearl has been said to heighten intuition, spark imagination, and offer a sense of nurturing protection, promoting emotional clarity & inner peace. To honour this special relationship each piece in the collection is named after one of the moon’s craters.

Collection story & inspiration

The Bamboo Collection is inspired by vintage bamboo furniture - from eccentric late Victorian umbrella stands to languid mid-century Hollywood tiki-chic lounge chairs, to dreamy 70s bohemian bungalow decor - all, in turn, influenced by long-established cultures from across time and space, from Japan and China to Egypt, to the Pacific islands.

Simple, striking structures informed by the sleek refined decadence Art Deco Architecture are softened with the organic irregularities of Bamboo to create bold, beautiful pieces with a casual glamour.

Designed to offer a little portal of escapism, to inspire hazy daydreams of glorious getaways in tropical technicolour, as well as to empower you to feel your own inner magic as you walk through the world.

These modern amulets, with echoes of ancient cultures, are centred around beautiful semi-precious stones. These are chosen for their colour, as well as individual characteristics - mellow mid-tones, punchy pastels, earthy neutrals, bold blacks and milky whites, often patterned with inclusions of marbling, speckles or swirls. The gemstones, formed by epic forces and natural mineral magic, are hidden underground for millennia, before incredibly, been unearthed, transported, cut, polished and made in to timeless treasures for you to keep close, and hold dear.

Please note: Most ROSITA BONITA pieces are made to order for you, unless specifically labelled as "Ready To Ship".

Please allow 2-3 weeks for these to be made for you in Sterling Silver, and to 4-6 weeks in Gold Vermeil.

If "Ready to Ship", these will be posted within three working days.

Jewellery Care

Each piece of Rosita Bonita jewellery is handmade with much love and care, and we want it to stay looking it’s very best for you.

To help with this please take care to avoid getting your jewels wet, and limit exposure to moisturisers and perfumes.

Keep them in their original packaging when you’re not wearing them, especially if you are lucky enough to live in a hot & humid environment.

This applies to all pieces - whether Leather, Plant Based, or Gold Vermeil.

The chains & findings we use on all leather & plant-based pieces are gold plated and will lose their shiny plating with wear. If at any point you would like these to be renewed, or if your pieces become damaged, they can usually be returned for repair for a small fee, but please do contact us first.

HAND-CRAFTED FOR YOU:

Rosita Bonita jewellery is mostly handmade to order, one by one, especially for you, in my Margate, UK studio.

The time it normally takes for your order to be shipping-ready depends on the piece/s you have chosen, and varies from (up to) 5 days, to (up to) 4 weeks.

You can see how long your chosen bonitas will take for me to make at the top of each product description.

If you need something by a specific date, please contact me to check if this is possible.

READY TO SHIP:

However, I do keep a selection of pieces which are ready to ship, and are clearly labelled as such. These tend to be one-of-kind pieces, with unique gemstones.

SHIPPING CONFIRMATION:

You will receive an email notification when your order has been shipped, so please be sure to enter your email address correctly when you place your order, and please check your junk folder if you don't receive an order confirmation or shipping confirmation email.

PARCEL TRACKING:

All items are sent on a tracked service, however the level of tracking detail can vary greatly across different countries. I use the UK National mail service (Royal Mail) as my standard shipping option, which will then transfer to your own nationalised mail service, when it reaches your country.

I do not email tracking details as standard, but please contact me, at any time, if you would like your tracking link, or if your package doesn't arrive within the expected time. (please see below)

Please do not leave it longer the suggested times (see notes on different destinations below) this to check up on your parcel as, more often than not, it will be waiting for you to pick up at your local parcel office and your post man has neglected to leave you a notice!

EXPRESS SHIPPING:

Express Shipping is available. This is a 1-2 day service anywhere in the world, delivered by Fedex or DHL. Just select from shipping menu.

* Please note Express selecting shipping does not affect the making time. Just the shipping transit time, and also is not inclusive of customs/import fees.

UK CUSTOMERS :

All UK orders are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 48 as standard.

Your parcel should be with you in 2 working days from receipt of your shipping confirmation email. If you have not received it after 5 working days, please contact me.

Free Shipping on orders over £75.

Upgrades to Royal Mail Special Delivery are available during checkout.

CUSTOMERS FROM ANYWHERE EXCEPT UK :

Your shipping will costs £9.75 - £15 for orders of up to £150.

All items are sent with UK Royal Mail, and will be passed on to your National Delivery Service.

THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY CUSTOMS CHARGES THAT YOUR COUNTRY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR IMPORTING GOODS FROM ABROAD.

CUSTOMERS IN U.S.A.

USA customers will now be charged Trump tariffs & duties on any imports.

A 10% tariff on any goods imported to US from UK, + 5.5% in duties on jewellery. It seems that they are charging only 10% on my leather jewellery, & the full 15.5% on silver.

This is similar to what my European customers already pay for importing goods from outside of EU, and what we pay in the UK when buying goods from US.

These fees are now being automatically added to your cart, & then I pay them to the post office as part of your postage label, so there should be no additional fees on your end.

If USPS tries to charge you anything extra on arrival please let me know. As far as I know this has not happened yet, but this whole system is very new, so there may still be some bumps!

CUSTOMERS IN MAINLAND EUROPE :

Sadly the UK is no longer part of the EU, which means shipping is not as smooth as before. Your parcel will be subject to your country's customs procedures and, usually, customs charges, which are not included in the shipping charge on your order. Your parcel will be sent through UK Royal Mail, on a tracked service, and passed on to your national delivery service. Whilst the Royal Mail website still states that EU parcels are delivered in up to 5 working days, I have found that there can now be lengthy hold-ups in customs offices (especially in Madrid), so it is very hard to predict when your parcel will be delivered, or how much they will charge you in customs fees.

If you have not received your parcel after 7 working days, please contact me and I will send you the tracking link.

THE REST OF THE WORLD :

Your parcel should be with you in around a week from receipt of your shipping confirmation email. If you have not received it after 10 working days, please contact me.

In most countries your government will charge you a fee for importing goods from UK, at varying rates. Please check info from your government for details.

Returns Policy

If you are not happy with your jewels, you may return purchases up to 14 days from date of receipt, as long as the items are in their original condition, unused and unworn, and in the original undamaged packaging.

Items can be returned for a refund, exchange or credit note.

If you would like to return any item please contact us in advance of posting.

You will be liable for the return postage. We would advise sending as recorded mail, as I cannot issue an exchange or refund until the original item is safely returned to me in it's original condition.

Exchanges

We are happy to exchange for another item featured in our online shop.

You will be liable for the cost of postage for the new item.

If the total price is higher we will invoice you for the difference

& if lower we will refund the difference.

Refunds

We will refund any items purchased at full sale price. The items must be returned in their original condition, unused and unworn and in the original undamaged packaging.

All refunds exclude postage costs, unless a mistake has been made by us.

We can only refund back to your Paypal account.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If an item arrives damaged or defective, we will replace with the same item as soon as possible at no additional charge.

Please contact us ASAP or within 7 days of receipt if your item has arrived damaged.

Refund/exchange is subject to our review of the returned product.
