Mother of Pearl, or Nacre, is the lustrous iridescent lining of many ocean shells. Moonstruck jewels are crafted from Nacre from the the Pinctada Maxima - the Pacific Silver-lipped Oyster; producers of the famed South Sea Pearls.

Nacre has long been associated with the moon. This is in part down to its alluring luminous lustre, but also because the moon governs the tides that wash these beautiful shells up on beaches around the world. Both are thought to be imbued with divine feminine energy, and prized as such.

Wearing Mother of pearl has been said to heighten intuition, spark imagination, and provide a sense of nurturing protection, emotional clarity & inner peace. To honour this special relationship each piece in the collection is named after one of the moon’s craters.
